Hip hop would be your safest bet for "street" because it is the most popular right now. but adding in popping and footwork and a lil break definitely will not hurt. Your question is a little broad so it would help if you give a little more detail or your location. Like if your in guetemala, its all about salsa. if you go to new york it could be almost everything. Hip hop is probably the most common dance for urban areas.

Don't take a modern dance class because i think it is contemporary dance.
