You need to "graft"?  You must mean "graph".

C = 2.50x + 300 is already in slope-intercept form.

2.50 = 5/2 = slope and 300 = y-intercept.

Place a dot at 300 on the y-axis.  From this point, move up 5 and to the right 2.  Place a dot there, and connect the dots with a straight line.

If C represents cost, and x represents the number of units produced, then

300 represents the start-up cost (it costs 300 even though you haven't produced anything).

2.5 means for every additional unit produced, it costs 2.5.
