Okay my friend is 14. and her dad was an abusive parent. he beat her mom up. and then her mom divorced him. and he became an alcoholic. and then went to prison. and her mom is a smoker and an alcoholic but my friend cant see that. my friend is very very talented, she plays several instruments but she has mostly given up. she sings well too and she could do well in school but she doesn't let anyone help her, especially in math and history. she thinks that she will be able to go to Julliard but she wont, she's just setting herself up to fail. i just want to help her. she deserves a great life.

  1. First of all, you sound like a great friend =)

As for your friend, she does need help. The problem with telling someone, though it is probably the best idea, is that if social services finds something she will be put in the system, and probably has less of a chance. But you should show her that she has a future. Give her compliments, make sure she knows that she is great. Recommend for her to go to a school counselor. I hope this helped

    =D

  2. cheer her up i guess and help her even when she thinks ur not

  3. First of all, it sounds like your a very caring, loving friend. This is what your friend needs..Someone supportive and positive in her life. Right now she's going thorough alot, she probably feels like she has nothing to live for, like she has no one in her life she can talk to thats goign throw the same thing, but the truth is, alot of people go throw it, and its a big struggle, but she just has to be strong and fight through it ( With your help) she is emotionally struggling with all the abuse in her life, she probably feels like she has failed in life and therefore has not much to live for,,(Thats why she's throwing everything good in her life away because all the good people in her life have thrown themselves away..) so she throws away the things in her life that once meant so much to her .. (I just have soo much I could say, if you want you can privately email me for more help..) You should go to kids help phoneline for more guidance.  Or maybe if you feel brave you can call the 1800 number. Hope this helps,
