  1. It appears to be a sheet of melamine, or MDO board, painted matte silver, mortised into rounded-edge pine or poplar, painted gloss black.

Then LED puck lights mounted on the back.

    That's sharp, I like it!

PS, I think the gleen in it is from photo lighting, (from in front of it).

  2. Well, plexiglas is expensive and scratches easily. Here is what I would do, go to a place like Home Depot or Lowes and look at the laminated sheets that they sell for do-it-yourself bath and house trailer walls.

I dont know exactly what you'd call it, but they sell various sheets of thin paneling w/ plastic surfaces on them. They are very durable as we used them when turning a step-van truck into a camper and projects like that. Some are Masonite w/ a slick laminated surface. You would probably still have to use some plywood behind the thin paneling for support. You could use an adhesive like Liquid Nails to glue the panels together. Use clamps or lots of heavy books.

  3. If your trying to match this no...........but you could check with your local lumber yards and they may be able to order it.....looks like plexiglass.....we used to use it for a lot of dropped ceilings in kitchens........but not that big.........if you just want the plain look get a prepainted white masonite 4x8 sheet and plow it into your uprights and header.....good luck

  4. Not being able to see or feel the texture, try this: Go to your nearby material store and pick up a silver or gray type material. Maybe an oil cloth, a metalic thread-like material or something that catches the light the way you like. Attach it to a piece of MDF, old paneling or something lightweight but durable. Maybe even a paint treatment using a pearlized sheen over gray. Good luck. LT

  5. Looks like plexiglas.
