It has taken over and I'm trying to figure out what will kill them. The root is a prickly ball anywhere from the size of a marble to the size of a golfball. The plant grows unbelievably fast. The very first leaves are a burgudy and green in color then turning green. The leaves are spade shaped. The thorns look similar to a rose thorn. The ones growing up into the trees on the outer edge of my property, put a flat in the lawn mower tire.

I have used the expensive roundup, it killed the leaves...but, they still come back.

Hopefully, somebody can help me.
