I need to install a window air conditioner in my bedroom but I have horizontal sliding windows. HELP!!?

how do I install the air conditioner with horizontal sliding windows...how do mount/support it?

Lowes carries ac units for your window. They are pricey.

Since yours is a horizontal slider do this.  Install a normal window ac then on the top where the window is supposed to sit down on the ac, make a window out of 1x2's and plexy glass for the top part, then position that on top of the air conditioner and fasten in with screws to make it sturdy.  It makes it look like you have a window on top of the ac and on the side of it.  You will have to judge the sturdiest and best way according to your house.  We have done this and it works.

check out the ac's that sit on the floor and vent out the window..we have one and it works good...the vent is in a plastic slide strip that goes up and down in the window  or can be turned to go across an older style up and down window
