  1. I believe it is best to interview them in person. That way you get to see for yourself if the child is in good care and how they interact with the child.

is their a reason why you would rather do it on line? I personally don't know how you would do it on line except for writing questions to them and tell them to e mail you back.

  2. You will get lots of great answers on www.schwablearning.org

sign up for free to post on their parent to parent message board

  3. I would say that the school system is corrupt.  They treat children horribly.  That's the only reason why parents advocate for their children.  If they didn't advocate for their children, the school would just do whatever they want with the child.  And that wouldn't be good.

  4. There must be several groups in your area that assist those with different disabilities.

Try contacting them in the field of disability you are interest in.

  5. I think you might go to this website and look for agencies near you that work with the parents of special needs children.

Just call the number or e-mail what you need and see if they can't connect you with someone.

You could also go to the Special Education department of a nearby school district and ask them to recommend someone.  I work to identify special needs kids, and I know families that would love to be interviewed, so I imagine people in other districts are the same way.

I agree this needs to be done face to face.  The point of the exercise is probably so that you can gain a new appreciation what it means to parent a special needs child.  You can read about that, but you may miss something important.

  6. You could probably contact the local Easter Seals organization in your area.  Their whole mission is helping children and adults with disabilities.  You could also contact the Developmental Disabilities Administration.
