  1. 1) Don't always judge a TV by the price.

    2) 1080's great and all, but unless you'll be watching Blu-Ray it's really not worth that extra 500-700 dollars compared to a 720P set, which can still convert to a 1080i signal.

    3) a little tid-bit HD Cable/Satellite is actually just broadcast in 1080i so you'd be fine with a 720 set.

    4) If you are wanting the best for near future yes go with a 1080P set, like a Samsung A650 or the Sony XBR4

    5) Never get warranty extensions, rather get Service agreements. They really are worth the money when you use the service.

  2. do some goggle searches for web sites that explain HD. My preference is to get a 1080P with at least a 10,000 contrast ratio and the fastest refresh rate. But but the one that looks best to you in the price range your comfortable with

  3. Hdtv is good.it would look beter if you had a ps3.
