I need to know about Nice, France?

My friend is writing a story, and she needs to know what Nice looks like, and some main attractions. also, is Nice by the ocean? if it is, are there boats that leave from there?

Main attractions include the Cours Saleya Flower Market, the Matisse Museum, ancient Roman ruins, and the Russion Cathedral. Nice is a delightful city in the heart of the French Riviera, on the Mediterranean Sea.  The port if Nice is active with cruise ships, commercial boating and nearby beautiful beaches.
