ok im fourteen soon to be fifteen [[FEBRUARYY]]

and i wanted to know;; how old do you have to be to get your navel pierced in virginia? DONT tell me "oh blah blah not responsible blah"

because ive been researching all over the planet since i was TWELVE thank you very much! and my mom said i could and she thought long and hard so im not one of those dumb 14 year olds. baha well answer please (:

no reputable piercer will pierce a 14y/o's navel. you're still growing and it might end up rejecting or very crooked or in a weird position. wait until you're 16.

After all it's a gamble. Are you willing to take that risk for 2 years with a navel piercing?

i think you can just take your mom with you and have her sign some papers and they will perice it! At least that the rules in california which i think should be the same all over the US!

idn about virginia. but i live in jersey

and i called all over and they would only do 16 yr olds.

im 15, only reason this one place pierced me was because they know a family member.

but you have to look up sites online and get their number and call them.

thats how i found out

Lol I am not calling you dumb. I think that it will be lot painful when you get it though so look after that navel of yours =P

Anyways I think that you have to be 15-16 years old to get your navel pierced because 2 years ago I went to virginia with my cousin and sister for 4 days. My sister wanted to get her eyebrow pierced and she is 15 so yeah. On the walls it says all the piercings or tatoos you want and how old you have to be. If I remember correctly it was either 15-16 years old ! ! !

*well i got mine when 8 months ago and im 16...but u have to have a parent, not just a family member, but parent, with u if u are under 18 and some places may require births certificates...i dont think it would be any different in VA

most states you have to be at least 16 with parents or 18 with id

most body piercers won't allow you to be in the shop if your under age!

my body piercer won't pierce anyone under the age 16 cause the navel piercing can grow out and change position and thats why they want you to wait and till 16 cause by 16 your body is done developing. cartilage piercing is nothing like getting a navel piercing......

my friend got her navel pierced the same time i did and she said it hurt like h**l and after the piercer pierced her navel it was sore for a week and it was all red like a tomato and she got after pain like really bad period cramps and when i went i never felt the lady piercing my navel with a needle and i never felt the lady putting a curved bar bell through my skin and putting the balls on and i had mine almost 2 yrs now. mine never got red, no soreness and no after pain. mine felt like i didn't even have it done and no mine wasn't numbed.

all piercing hurt no matter what it is it just depends on your pain tolerance if you have high pain tolerance i wouldn't get it done at all.
