I need to know about traveling through the Dominican Republic!?

I volunteered in Santo Domingo a couple years ago where I was able to travel through out the country, for example took a bus to Bayahibe. I want to go back there in Feb. with my boyfriend and parents so they can experience what I did. We want to stay at an all-inclusive hotel, preferably in the Boca Chica area however, with a budget of about $1000 per person, Punta Cana might be more realistic. I want to know if we do stay in Punta Cana, will we be able to take a bus to Santo Domingo and other places. If yes where is the bus station and about how much does it cost? If not, how do we get to the city from Punta Cana, and how much will it cost? Thank you for your help!!!

Hey! I'm dominican and the best easiest way of traveling is through public big buses.

My wife and i reciently booked a trip to boca chica bay for around $900 a piece. This is all inclusive trip and includes the flight for 10 days.The cheapest time to go is from sept-dec because of hurricane season, but we could'nt find a deal even in comparison at any other web site.we are going in october for our 1st anniversery. Im not sure what the prices are like during feb, but i would say it is worth looking into. I hope you find the deal that i did ! Good luck.

If you want to stay in Punta Cana and go to Santo Domingo with a bus, that's a adventure! It is better to go to Boca Chica or even Puerto Plata. From there it is far easy er to travel to Santo Domingo. All depending what you are looking for. If I can help you with the planning just ask. platiniumtrav@codetel,net.do
