  1. He has 3 apples.

    I have 3 apples.

    He had 3 apples.

    I do have homework.

    I did my homework.

    She does have homework.

    I didn't take it

  2. you need a grammar book because it's not a 5 min explanation that will help... it's about Tenses and Auxiliary Verbs

  3. I have

    You have

    he/she/it has

    we/they have

had is past tense, or pluperfect

If you are using to have as a helping verb, you follow it with the PAST PARTICIPLE.

do is present tense, for all but he/she/it does.

    did is past tense

And you follow do/did/does with the INFINITIVE (without the to), making "I didn't take it" correct, and "I didn't took it" wrong.

I didn't take, I don't take, He DOES take (that would be emphatic) or he didn't take.

In modern English, something like He took not, would NOT make sense.  (although, as I am watching Star Wars with my kid and his friends right now, I think Yoda might say that.:)  )

So difficult for foreign learners to get right!  So many examples!
