I need to know how to become the Queen Bee of My School!?

Girls often have a difficult time with popularity; their relationships tend to be a bit more complicated than boys. Follow some easy steps to become the proverbial queen bee of a school, and learn what it's like to be popular and powerful.

1. Learn that being popular and being well known are two different things. Cultivate a sense of self esteem and high self worth by staying connected with your parents and other family members. Keep communication open to talk about various problems that could arise.

2. Become involved with school activities and be more vocal in your class. Run for elected class official or join a sports team or cheerleading squad to become part of the elite in school society.

3. Make sure that you are always well groomed and up on the latest trends in music and fashion. This expertise is what will attract others to you on a superficial level. Be courteous, polite and humble and fit in with any crowd. Be comfortable around anyone, no matter how different they may be from you.

4. Develop a circle of popular, well respected friends who share qualities you find admirable. Influence your classmates through student government and be a good role model in the classroom to gain respect.

5. Attempt to get nominated for honors such as prom queen or homecoming queen. Always attend school events and functions to show your support for all kinds of clubs and activities.

6. Impress your teachers through your consistent school work and cooperation. However, don't be a showoff or teacher's pet, since it will make your peers jealous and irritated.

My understanding of Queen Bee is to be top of the pile, domineering and controlling.......and not particularly liked by the majority, because it has been achieved through a degree of bullying. If you still want to go down this route expect to have some very lonely periods in your life!

I was never pretty or super-thin, but I was always popular by just smiling at people. It makes girls look up to you and boys like you. Honestly.
