  1. first of all, you need to join the HSLDA, which is the homeschool legal defense association for your own protection as well as the necessity of legal advice or   assistance.  They are at www.hslda.org .  The are nationwide and also can help you with all the legalities of homeschooling within your State and the requirements set by your state for compliance also.

This is the first step and you should probably be under an ISP, which is like a private school but actually in correlation with your own independent studies. They also offer support meetings, guidance and will help you because you will be part of the network of those parents who also homeschool. In addition, you can go on www.homeschooling.com or www.shea.org for more information.

    Good luck.

  2. Do you mean unschooling?

I live in NV, USA which requires no records but there are several ways to record unschoolers. The easiest is to keep a journal or blog and just mke notes of what they do all day. Everything has educational value so the only task is to trasnlate it into educationese.

Check out Sandradodd.com/unschooling for some more ideas on unschooling documentation.
