I need to know how to keep my cat off my aquarium where my lizard is kept. The top is wire mesh.?

The cat likes to sit on top and cannot reach the baby bearded dragon lizard. I do not want the fur to contaminate the habitat. I need to know how to keep the cat off the aquarium all together. He uses an entertainment center to get on it, but I cannot move it because I do not have the room. Please help!

My cat took my wire mesh top off and killed one of my baby bearded dragon babies we still have one left but I would watch out....it was very sad....we sprayed my cat with a water bottle everytime he jumped up there and spanked him I would try to do that....my cat dont get up there anymore....watch out for your beardie baby..

I suggest keeping the cat out of the room

you could move the aquarium or but a long poster board in the middle therefore the cat cant get to it

Knock that cat in the head with a baseball bat next time it gets up there and I bet it wont do it again.

We had that problem with one of our cats, so we used wire hangers and cut them into about 3 inch strips, bent them into a "U" shape and, poked them through the inside of the top, so they stick out of the top and up, as if they are spikes.   Our cat doesn't get on there anymore!
