  1. sometimes it helps to turn the paper to where you are reading upside-down. another trick i use is to hold the paper in you hands as if it were on the desk and tilt the top of the paper down may be 10-15 degrees to get a different look on the text you are trying to read. other then that it is just over time if having to read the same mess day after day you will learn the writers handwriting


  2. It's just practice and doing this a lot. You should ask the writer what each illegible word is. I've done that as a secretary with executives - there's no shame in it.

  3. Try to get the person who is writing sloppy to write neater and be considerate of others. Recommend the video- " Anyone Can Improve Their Handwriting".
