Question:

I need to know how to propose?

My girlfriend has already proposed to me and I have said yes! The other day I went out and bought her wedding band but I don't know how to propose or give it to her. If you haven't figured it out by now, we are two women. I know that it is not legal for us to be married where we live, so we are exchanging rings and will have a small family get together sometime next year. I need ideas on what to do because she made a great dinner, had candles lit, had a card, wrote a poem. It was the most romantic night of my life. Any ideas, I'm up for anything. Thanks

  1. awwwwww thats sweet what she did my first thought was why do you need to propose to her when shes proposed to you? but i guess evry women should get to see how it feels to be proposed to huh? ok um suggestions....make it personal what does she like? incorperate that...is she close to her family? what about doing a family game night and have it be one of the questions ...or take her outside under the stars and have your guys song playing and after you dance to your song keep her close to you in an embrace and ask her...or recreate your first date....make a treasure hunt inside or outside light some candles use flower pettles or hersheys kisses lead her to a spot and have the ring in a treasure box if our into out doors take her hiking when you get to a perfect spot make it a before sunrise walk then as the sun rises tell her you want this new day to be the begaining of your new life together i dont know how private you are or how much money you have but what about taking an add out in the paper or renting a bill board....ok well thats all i can think of im sure i will think of more tonight and post in the morning in the mean time congratulations and dont let anyone get you down :)

  2. You're both proposing? That's funny (in a cute way, not a haha way).  I think you should try to think of something that would really mean a lot to her.  Since she did the dinner and candles thing, maybe you could take her somewhere beautiful, like a beach or park at sunset, or up a mountain, by a lake...somewhere you know she'd enjoy.  One of the most romantic nights of my life went like this:  dinner at a nice restaurant, then a (mystery) drive to the (lake) beach (there are no oceans near me) which was supposed to happen at sunset, but we were a little late.  We walked along the shore in the sand while it grew darker.  It was beautiful and we were fairly alone.  It was perfect.  I hope this helps you get some ideas.  Just think about what she would love.

  3. Dont listen to anyone who is putting you down, marriage is a beautiful thing when two people are in love, whether they be a man and a woman, two women, or two men. Think of your first kiss, or a special date or evening you two shared, and try to recreate it. I think that anything that comes from the heart is romantic, so make it really personal. Maybe cook her a dinner of her favorite food, and work the proposal into a wine toast? Or take her for a sunset walk to her favorite park, andproposee just as the sun sets.

I'mm sure whatever you come up with will be lovely, and congratulations!

  4. i think you shouldnt get married at all!!

  5. Maybe rent a hotel room, not to expensive, but not crappy. Decorate the room. Flower petals on the bed in a shape of a heart. Chocolates, flowers, champagne. And, this is part of how I said yes to my husband, write a song, if you dont play any instruments, tell her how you feel. And if you know what I'm talking about, maybe not hardcore toungue l*****g, humbing s*x, but passionate love. And wake up early, with a breakfast in bed for her. I hope it works out between you two,  let me know how it works out.

  6. I'm not against g*y marriages - I think that is so cute and romantic.

Personally i don't think you should do the whole dinner, romantic room etc...it's so typical and besides she romanced you that way.

I guess it depends on what she likes - send flowers to her work with "Marry me" written on the card, take her to gardens with a nice view. Ohhh that is so exciting!

  7. Come to NJ you can legally get hitched! :)

  8. You shouldn't be getting married you shouldn't be getting engaged and you shouldn't even be dating
