(a+g)(a^2-ag+g^2)

I came up with

a^2-ag^2+a^2g^2+g^3

Is that right?

  1. No.

    (a+g)(a^2-ag+g^2)

    =a(a^2-ag+g^2) + g(a^2-ag+g^2)

    =a^3-a^2g+g^2 + a^2g-ag^2+g^3

    =a^3+g^2 -ag^2+g^3

  2. no

    its a^3 + g^3

  3. If you simple break down the first equation

    (a +g)(a^2 - ag +g^2) you get

    a(a^2 - ag +g^2) + g(a^2 - ag +g^2)

    a^3+g^3,  a^2g and ag^2 cancel out
