I need to know if there is a law that would not allow my 6 year to ride in a tractor trailer or semi?

  1. The laws are the same as they are for a car, the child will need to be in a car seat and the only place that I know of that they would be able to sit is the front passenger seat with the seat pushed back as far as possible.

    I know that a child of that age cannot ride in the sleeper of a semi truck nor can the car seat be put in the rear because it would not be mounted to the frame......

  4. Besides the car seat,  you will need the permission of the vehicle owner or responsible party in writing.    Most will also require a waiver of liability for the passenger in case of accident.

  5. Forget about what the law says.  Is it safe?
