  1. ok just to let you know the reason they stole it is because they could get probably $250 for it..........ok your concerned about the loudness of the truck all you gotta do is weld a piece of pipe there from the pipe to the muffler..... it wont make it the same but it will quiet it down a lot.

  2. A quick fix would be to take it to a muffler shop and have a universal cat welded in. By the way, there is no way whoever stole it will be able to get anywhere near 250 dollars for it. It's pathetic that people these days are stealing cats off vehicles, why dont they just go get a job like normal people do.

  3. Honey, it's called a catalytic converter. Yes, of course you can replace it with another from the same exact model (I hope your not planning on stealing that one because 2 wrongs don't make a right). Depending on the laws in your state you can replace it with a straight pipe as well.

  4. Just replace it with a piece of pipe, it'll run better.

  5. First off, not being a smart azz, but the part is called a Catalytic converter. You can buy a universal fit new one for around $90, labor to install should be about an hr. It should be welded in. that's probably your best bet. You can try to get a used one from a used parts( junk or salvage ) yard. Though it is rare for them to sell them, they may have one for less than the new universal. Hope this helps.
