  2. Here are a few regular markets. The braderie, if you are there at the time... is not to be missed  :

Rue du Solférino - general markets on Wednesdays and Saturdays

Place du Concert - general markets in Lille's Old Town on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. This is a great place for a Sunday stroll.

Vieille Bourse courtyard - daily flower market, also book stalls that repay a good browse.

Quartier de Wazemmes - Sunday morning flower market; antiques and bric-a-brac by the church; local produce and seafood in the covered market.

You can also contact the Lille Tourist Office right downtown :

    Palais Rihour - B.P. 205,

    59002 LILLE

    Phone : 08 91 56 20 04

    Fax : 03 59 57 94 14

    Bon Voyage

  3. There is one of the biggest open market in Europe. It is called "la braderie" and it is the first week-end of september.
