I don't know which website to use so that I could learn about them and accually sound smart when talking to other people. I would like to learn much more about car parts, engines, interiors, exteriors, pros and cons about each car, and much more. So if anyone knows any good sites, please help me out :)

  1. you can do what i do to learn more about them and that is go to the different car companies websites, subsribe to car magazines such as motortrend, or if you see a car you really ike you can google it and that might lead you to other vehicles like it and then you can research them. here some sites you can go to....

allpar.com tells you everything about chrysler, jeep, dodge vehicles and much more

    motortrend.com car news future vehicles,

    automobile.com (same)

any car websites jeep.com is very good in explainer 4 wheel drive capabilities

    edmunds.com

jalponik.com mainly future cars but very cool to see them in their early stages

    or just google any car.

or just swing by any dealership and just browse through their inventory.

  2. Try these sites:

                http://www.2carpros.com/

                http://www.instructables.com/

if you have a tech school, or a community college near you that offers classes, sign up.

  3. wikipedia.com and howstuffworks.com are two good sites. You won't learn everything at one or two web sites. Just spend time searching using Google or Yahoo for the things that interest you.

Also visit car enthusiast web sites. Search on "Honda Civic forums" or "Jeep forums" or whatever brands you like.

  4. Consumer reports can help you figure out how well each model performs and identify which ones have bad driving characteristics.  They can help you get in tune (pun intended) with what each new and used car has going on.

Kelly Blue Book can help you figure out what each car is worth in a given condition, and with different equipment packages so you can look them over and have an intelligent conversation when someone says a car with a particular item on it is worth sooo much more than without.  You could then inform them that actuallythat is not the case.

The last link is to a car repair site that will help you with online manuals and articles so you can learn about different types of engines, and the mechanical parts that make up the car.  After digging in to these sites you should be well on your way to knowing enough about cars to hold your own in conversation.  Hope this helps.

  5. Buy a car manual(Chilton or Haynes)for your car ,if you have one and read through it to get a basic understanding of the parts and where they are located and what they do.

  6. Go to different search engines such as Yahoo or Google and search "What to know about cars" "Need to know cars" "Info on cars" and things in that nature.
