Question:

I need to know some good stretches for chere jumps(toe touch, hurky, pike)??

i cant rotate my hips backwards i have cheered for 7 years and i cant do it help and i need a higher and better toe touch

  1. Just stretch everyday and do the stretches  you do at cheer class Morning and night. Best of luck.


  2. Hey; Im a self tought tumbler. So hey, you should always warm up before stretching and you should run for a little bit like maybe a lap around a track or  do some routine dances that you know to get your body warm and then you should stretch. For jumps, make sure you stretch your thighs, calves, hip flexors and ankles. Basically the normal stretches you would do for any sport or even P.E. If you want to get your jumps higher, you would want to build muscle in your calves. You can do calf raises (moving up and down on your toes) and also go to a gym and work out there. When you do a jump, you should make sure your body stays straight and also that you hit a good "T" after you swing around because that helps you lift up. Don't look down at the ground as well. You always want to make sure you look up as if you're looking at the crowd. It also helps if you can see yourself doing it (watching yourself in a mirror or record yourself on a camera). When you do your jump, make sure you whip your legs up and then whip them back down. Also hit everything strong. If you don't start it strong, the rest will follow suit.
