Question:

I need to know some specifics about Solar Energy?

What is the cost per surface area?

What is the average energy absorbed per surface area?

What is the maximum threshold for absorbed energy per hour?

What is the specific reaction/mechanics of the energy capture?

Are there different grades with variable prices and effectiveness?

Which manufacturer/retailer has the most reasonable prices for solar panels?

Is there anything else I should know about solar power that is important to its use?

If you can't answer all my questions, answer what you can and I'll be grateful. I would also be grateful for any helpful info/product websites listed in the source.

Thanks for the help!

I need to know some specifics about Solar Energy?

What is the cost per surface area?

    About $1000/200w

What is the average energy absorbed per surface area?

    About 15%

What is the maximum threshold for absorbed energy per hour?

At the equator, maximum insolation is about 1100 watts/sq meter.

What is the specific reaction/mechanics of the energy capture?

Are there different grades with variable prices and effectiveness?

Yes.  Monocrystalline panels are the most efficient.  Thin film panels are far less efficient, often requiring twice the surface to deliver the same power.

Which manufacturer/retailer has the most reasonable prices for solar panels?

The Solar biz has been ever so helpful.  www.thesolarbiz.com
