  1. Yes B is for Business.  Economy would have an E.

    Enjoy your flight.

    :)

  2. Unfortunately, Class 'B' is the booking class which refers to the terms and conditions of your ticket, i.e. any restrictions, changes alowed etc.

If you were booked in Business Class, Your booking class would be either: "J, C, D, Z", which are universally recognized.

I could further elaborate if you could tell me which Airline you're flying.

    UPDATE:

Thanks, because Thai Airways, like all Star Alliance Carriers (albeit regardless), use 'B' class as a less restrictive economy class fare, therefore, if you're a member, you'll be able to use miles to upgrade, however you are still booked in Economy Class.

  3. B CLASS THAI AIRWAYS IS ECONOMY

    B does not mean Business

In our travel terminology (C or D or J or Z or  A or F) is Business or First Class

and (Y) is economy class. However economy (Y) has many different designators. It might also be B, M, K and many others.

However you are travelling in economy class.

  4. It depends on which airline as to which code is used, some use P as first, J is the class for most business, i know it is for thia airlines, y is economy, the classes are endless, i believe b is a business upgradable, this means you might only get business if there are seats avaliable.

  5. Don't confuse "fare class" with "cabin class," the fare class basically denotes the price you paid and the restrictions on the ticket based on that price, that code will usually be listed under fare basis or fare. A "B" fare class is normally an economy class ticket, btw. CL probably denotes cabin class, and "B" I would think is business class. There's a big difference in price between economy class and business class, if you paid many thousands of $$ for your ticket, you're probably in business class. You can always call Thai to be sure.
