  1. t here is no us consulate in nyc. why? nyc is part of the usa. it is  a city in the state of new york in the nation of the united states.

for all       us embassies go to www.state.gov

go to my link above she must contact the embassy consulate where she is.

  2. The United States does not retain consulates on its own soil, only abroad.  You might try going to your local immigration office in the nearest Federal Building.  You need to provide more information to ascertain exactly what you wish to do.

  3. The only thing to a U.S. consulate in New York City is the United States Mission to the United Nations. However, this mission does not handle visas or other consular services. There is no need for a country to operate a consulate in their own country.

  4. There's no US consulate in New York City. US Consulates and Embassies are only in foreign countries.

However, you can look up the K-1 Visa program at:

    http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/...

Now, most of the beginning process will be done via execution agents and mail, the interview will take place in her country of origin, and you will be interviewed at a local INS office.

    Hope this helps.
