I will spend one year in England as an au pair.

And I would like to continue over there my psychoanalysis (because I would like to become a psychoanalyst)

As an au pair, I get 70£ a week, will that be enough to get a session with an psychoanalyst ? What's the average price ? (I know it's not refunded ...)

thanks, and sorry for my english, I'm french =)

  1. It depends which area. In England there are local Community Mental Health Teams (CMHT) who can recommend reduced price psychotherapy in each city/borough as little as £25 a session but you need to sign up for several sessions for this. £70 is less than state benefits here and certainly won't be enough to even have one good private session usually if it's your total living allowance.
