  1. There is absolutely no way to know the name of every drink made, not only are there thousands and thousands of them, but most of them are known by many different names depending on where you live. I can give you a few websites, but as long as you know all the classic ones and about a hundred or so contemporary ones, you should be good to go.

If you're a bartender and someone asks for a particular drink and you don't know how to make it, don't be afraid to ask what's in it. From whatever the ingredients are that they tell you, you should be able to figure out how much of everything to put in it. Best of luck to you!

  2. I dont think you could possibly ever know ALL the cocktails that exist, as new ones are being created all the time. In a bar, you should know the basics such as a martini, different types of cocktails etc, but most bars have books that you can refer to if need be.

  3. There is something called the bartenders bible.  You should be able to find one in your liquor store, and most of the time,  your bigger bookstores should have them for sell as well.  If you do happen to get one, and decide to go down to the local bar and ask for the drinks that you find in them,  don't be surprised to find out that your bartender doesn't know how to make it.  drinks are regional, and any bartender worth his salt should know how to make whats popular in his or her area.  Also, memorize the ingredients your self. It's kinda your responsibility to know what goes into what your drinking. Also alot of drinks have more than one name, and are called different things in different places.  I live and work in Denver as a bartender, and know 4 different names for A jagermeister and redbull.  also,  when you order ****** up and complicated drinks, make sure you tip accordingly.
