  1. Linear foot pricing is used for items that have a standard depth, like counter tops.  If a counter top salesman came over and saw 4' deep custom cabinets, he would balk at the linear foot pricing.

So I would forget about square foot pricing.

What product are we talking about, anyway?

  2. What you need to know is the width of the product.

    And maybe a geometry lesson.

  3. To figure area, you need the length times width, so it is $2.50 a linear foot for what width???

  4. It depends on the width of the product.

If it is a foot wide then it would be 1000 x $2.50 = $2500

    If it is 6 inches wide then it would be 1000 x 2 to get 1000 sq ft which would make it 1000 x 2 x $2.50 = $5000

If it is 2 feet wide then it would be 1000 divided by 2 to get 1000 sq ft which would be 1000 / 2 x $2.50 = $1250

Hope this helps if not email me.
