I need to know what I do now that I have my drivers permit, I live in Colorado?

Hi I'm 16 and I just got my permit, I live in Colorado, but my question is NOW what do I do?? I know I have to wait a year before I get my license but do I have to do hours or what? what do I have to do?

Take a driving course.  They can be a little pricey but well worth it.  If that doesn't work, have somebody teach you and then drive people as much as possible.  Just remember to always be safe.  Good Luck and Congrats on getting the permit.

The best thing to do is to practice a lot so by the time you take your actual driving test for a license, you know what to do and how to do it correctly.  You have a whole year to become very comfortable driving a car so during your test you know exactly what the correct thing to do.  I don't know if where you live they have a driving course they test you on or if they take you out on the actual streets with real traffic to deal with.  Get used to parking in all sorts of situations.  Get used to passing.  Get used to making left and right turns.  Highway driving.  Etc.  Make sure when you first get into the car, you do all the adjustments you are supposed to so when you go take your test, it's second nature for you.  Get used to estimating when you should start braking for a stop and judging when there's enough room between you and the car in front of your.  If you get enough practice, you will feel more confident at test time; and you're less likely to make bad judgment calls or to mess up largely.  And by the time you get your real license, you'll be an experienced driver.
