I'm going on vacation to fenwick island at assawoman bay. my goal is to catch a flounder and a sand shark ive heard that i should use squid. is that right? and what size hook should i use.

  1. You might also consider live shrimp or a jig for the flounder.  That would be a more "natural" bait for them than squid. Us a 1/0 hook for the flounder and a 3/0 for the shark.


  2. You can use a 1/0 hook for both species and while flounder do eat squid; sandsharks, sea robins, oyster crackers, skates and rays are all attracted to squid and they will most likely get to your bait first.
