  1. play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to find something that you like. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family & color name, the "painted" rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. You can literally spend hours:

I think it would look fab to do one of their SoftSuede faux finish colors as your accent wall. Give it a textured, rustic feel. "Cafe Carmel" (# 7156) sounds like it would be beautiful with what you have.

  2. light apricot

  3. Go with a deep, brick red.  A very pale, earthy green would also be nice.

  4. Turquoise.

    Teal.

    Red.

    Dark mustardy gold.

  5. I'd do my accent wall in an earthy teal (basically green-blue with just and 'undertone' of light brown).  Another way to make your room 'pop' is to have at least one vase always filled with different things at different times of the year ... make it a big enough vase to sit on the floor, and then get things like peacock tails in spring, tall flower stalks in summer, pampas grass in the fall, and branches (painted or 'plain') in winter.  Also get a largish print with the same basic colors (browns, rusts, blue/green) and put that on the wall OPPOSITE the accent wall, or if the accent wall is opposite the windows, put the print behind the couch between the windows and the accent wall ...

  6. browns and red are really hot this year, and can look really stunning especially with dark wood.

if your "rusts" are reddish, however, you may want to go with a light blue or teal to avoid clashing!

  7. if you want something to really set a warm, relaxing feeling a deep red would look awesome

or if you want something a little brighter, fun, and awake a sage - jade type green would look really good too!

    good luck!

  8. Sage green would be pretty with the browns.

  9. A turquoise or a warm orange....

  10. Rust or a warm pumpkin or a rich gold shade would be good accent colors or good for the accent wall.
