  1. Always good to check out these sites to ID it -

    http://www.spideridentification.org/

    http://www.badspiderbites.com/spider-ide...

    http://www.aboutbugsbugsbugs.com/spiders...

    http://www.pesticide.org/spiders.html

  2. Sounds poisonous. Kill it.

  3. its a house spider..kill it ..yuck.

  4. first off DONT KILL IT

just for the sake of time, im going to get to the point...

first, do you live anywhere in these locations?

second...could that "spade" actually look like a "violin"?

if so, it very well could be a brown recluse spider.  These are one of the only two poisonous spiders in N. America

here is a picture of one...

if it turns out not to be the brown recluse, it may just be a house spider...

put it in a cup and take it outside...dont kill it!!

    =] be safe

  5. That sounds like a common house spider. Other features to take note are how the legs are kept. Crab spiders sit as if they are crabs, legs splayed out, while the jumping spiders hold their front legs in a curled grabbing position.

    This link will show you all the various types of house spiders there are;

How it spins a web also helps discover its make and model. Wolf spiders do not sit in webs but run down their prey, while house spiders, brown recluse (violin spider), and others make orb type webs.

If this worries you, just get a container, scoop em up and drop outside to eat the bugs there.

  6. Your state's Department of Conservation may have a website.  Look it up on the web & see if they have pictures of spiders that are native to your area.
