I need to know what my weight limit will be for the marines im 5'10 ?

they have weight guidelines, but they also measure certain body parts (neck) so that your build is in play.

my husband is 5'10''.  he's a very muscular 180-190 and he's always been "over" weight, but he's never had an issue b/c it's just his build.

In order to enlist if you are 5'10"

the minimum weight is 123lbs

the maximum weight to enlist varies with your age

16-20 years old is 215lbs

20-30 years old is 222lbs

now those are just the weights to enlist

Prior to shipping out to basic training, Marine Recruits must meet different (more strict) weight standards, known as the "Retention Weight Standards." Recruits who exceed the Retention Weight Standards can still ship out to basic training, if any of the following conditions are met:

Within 5 percent of retention weight standards: If the recruit passes the IST, he can ship to basic training with no waiver.

More than 5 percent over retention weight: Recruit must pass the IST, and receive a waiver from the Marine Corps Recruiting District Commanding Officer.

More than 10 percent over retention weight: Recruit must pass the IST, be within body-fat standards (18 percent), and receive a waiver from the Marine Corps Recruiting Region Commanding General.

the standards for the fleet are the following

for 5'10 the max weight limit is 192

the minimum is 132

But these weight standard are not so cut and dry

If a Marine is over the his max weight limit then they will be measured for body fat composition

the body fat standard is 18%

now if a Marine has a first class PFT then his body fat compostion can be as high as 22%
