I need to know what my16 years old need to croos from tijuana to san diego he is a citizen?

i am going to mexico visiting a parent and we do not know what emigracion is going to ask for like i.d birth certikicate or what

I did this trip this summer and it was very painless. TO enter Mexico you do not need anything at all you simply cross over the border and you are in Mexico. However to get back into Mexico there will be an immigration checkpoint and the lines can be long and lasting from around 30 minutes to 2 hours . You will need to present either and ID proving your citizenship or something proving your citizenship in one way or another. If you have a passport that is the best and I would say that it is what will suit you best.

Para entrar a mexico simplemente tenes que cruzar la frontera sin ninguna parada. Yo se porque yo hice este viaje este verano. Ahora para volver si tenes que pasar por la immigration. La fila te puede tardar desde casi unos pocos minutoshasta dos horas o mas dependiendo de el transito. Tenes que presentar algun tipo de identification de cuidadano como una tarjeta de cuidadano. Y si tenes passaporte americano te recomiendo que te lo lleves.

Everyone crossing the border by land needs a photo I.D. and proof of citizenship...either a passport OR birth certificate.  See site below and read top half of page carefully.    A minor travelling woth only one parent needs to have a ;etter of permission signed by the other parent and notarized.  See second site and read section on MInors under Entry requirements.
