  1. Ronald McDonald House used to encourage collecting the tabs, but I believe they have discontinued the program in our area.  The tabs have no higher value than the rest of the can, anyway, they were just convenient.  Our public school arts program does collect aluminum cans.  Check at your municipal recycling center for more information.
