I need to learn as much as I can about different professions (typical schedules, salaries, pre-requisites, required skill-set, etc.) in order to consider which one I am best suited for, and vice-versa. I am 22 so the sooner I do this, the better. So where can I go to get all this information? And, do I have to pay for it? I will have to consider it an investment if I do need to pay, but, for obvious reasons, I would rather not have to pay anything to get this information. Thanks for any guidance.

  1. Go online to  some College University website and look at the ciriculium and you should get an idea, either that or you may have to pay and take a semester of school, or just take one class, it it's called Career building, it really helps.

  2. I would suggest looking at job ads at a website like http://www.seek.com.au (or one for your country if you're not in Australia), as employers typically post information on what they're looking for (pre-requisites and required skills), and they also post info on salaries. You should also assume that a job is 9-to-5 unless otherwise stated (if advertised as full time with no mention of weekend work or shift work, then it's most likely 9-5). And if it's full time, that's 38-40 hours per week. :)
