  1. I've been in karate for 7 years, when it comes to actually fighting, if you're not in a ring and he wants to go, do WHATEVER you can. ANYTHING goes on the street.. If you are in a ring, don't run away. Honestly pain only lasts for a while. When you are in the ring or when you're on the street with this guy remember age doesn't mean anything and just because you are an amatuer fighter doesn't mean you can't hold your own. watch where his belt would go, this way you have perfect view of his hand, feet, and other body movement. Also remeber not to move back, move to the side instead, this opens up the side of the  head and sometimes rib shots too... Listen to your body I know it sounds dumb but follow your inner instincts of fighting, you'll be ok. Even if you lose, you stood up for yourself and remember there is always someone thats bigger and badder than you that can't beat you, who knows you could be the guy to kick this guy to the ground.. if you wanna talk more my e-mail is lil_pookie_bears_mommy@yahoo.com ask if you need anything.. Good luck.

  2. MMA is very popular now, it stands for mixed martial arts, it is a mix of different disciplines (like you see in the UFC) if you want a great workout I recommend boxing or muai thai (real kickboxing) it also involves knees and elbows, if you are smaller i seriously recommend Brazilian jiu jitsu or judo its mainly taking someone to the ground using their weight against them and then look for submissions like arm bars and chokes, very good at stopping a situation

My personal belief is that martial arts have evolved more in the last 13 years then it has in the last thousand, because these mma fights made people see what really works when it comes right down to it.

Fortunately with the sudden popularity of the UFC most schools actually teach mma, they teach a little muai thai, wrestling jiu jitsu etc. look up a school and ask what arts they train

    good luck

  3. Go to a bar and tell them you won't leave until your drunk. You don't have to drink anything, but they will try to make you leave, and then you will get a chance to learn to fight in the real world.

  4. i agree with the last guy.

the only this is im 13 but ive done MMA since i was 4.

my dad was mario yamaskis first student (the refferee in the UFC, the big one.)
