  1. join a course for swimming

  2. You can join swimmimg camps and practice there.

I guess that would be the best way.

Get in the shallow end and practice floating on your back first, if your lungs are full of air you will float, you will sink when you breath out, so when you breath out, use your arms and legs to keep you afloat. To start swimming on your front, same again..... arms in circles and legs kicking to stay afloat, so your arms are by your body when you have air in your lungs, and circling when you exhale. Good luck for ur swimming classes.

  3. Take swim lessons today.

  5. Paddle for your life.

  6. consult a trained instructor, please do not rush such a thing it can be dangerous

  7. I'm assuming this is for a high school exit requirement? Unfortunately, you cannot learn to adequately swim in less than a day. And please do not try to teach yourself. The current methods for teaching swimming have been developed and tested through time.

    Consult a certified instructor.

You can also consult a trusted friend who is on a swimming or water polo team, but I'd recommend the instructor.

Should have taken care of this earlier...

  8. Swimming normally can only be learnt over a number of lessons I've never heard of a course that teaches a complete beginner in a day.  I would guess your only option is to contact your local pools and see if you can hire the instructor for the afternoon.

You don't say why you need to learn but If its an option you would be better off admitting that you can't swim and just wear a life jacket instead.

  9. Swimming isnt something you can learn through reading, you need to practise, its best to take swimming lessons x
