I need to learn how to swim. how do i learn?

i need to learn how to swim by june 2nd or 3rd. i'm going on a class trip to D.C. and we're going swimming. i don't want to be embarassed :( plz leave websites and advice. plz i'm desperate. :( :( :( :(

That's not near enough time. Just splash around in the shallows.

Go in the water and get comfortable.  go in deeper... submerge for a few seconds.. til you feel safe and stay down as long as you can til you are confident and then doggy paddle and finally swim along the surface.

Ask a parent or friend who knows how to swim to take you to the pool.  They will probably be able to teach you enough to where you won't be embarrassed... you won't be great but you will be ok.  Even after your trip you should learn how to swim.  Sign up for swim lessons or if you are too old get private lessons.
