  1. There are so many great cooking classes out there...I recently did a Thai cooking class and since then have been having a great time brushing up my skills and impressing my boyfriend too!

    I booked my class through this site - http://www.redballoondays.com.au/categor... in addition to Thai there are plenty of other cuisines available - Italian, Indian and so on - check it out!

    Happy cooking!

  2. Cook boneless skinless chicken b*****s in a skillet with a little oil about 4 minutes per side on medium heat. Add one chopped onion, cook briefly and add 1 cup of chicken broth. Cook about 3 minutes then add one jar of spaghetti sauce. Turn heat to low, cover and let simmer until chicken is done, approximately 20 minutes. Meanwhile, cook some spaghetti following directions on the box. Drain the pasta and serve the chicken and sauce over the pasta.  Bagged salad and some Italian bread complete the meal.

  3. I would start out easy say try making spaghetti and meatballs. You can always dress it up with a nice salad and garlic bread.

  4. If he's a meat-and-potatoes kind of guy;

    In a crock pot or large pot w/a lid add 1lb. of beef for a roast, 4-6 cut-up potatoes, 3-4 cut-in-chunks carrots, 1/2 cup of pearl onions or onions cut into chunks, 1 bay leaf (2 if not too fresh), 2 tablespoons of celery leaf or dried celery, 1 tablespoon of fresh or dry parsley, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, 1 teaspoon of pepper (white pepper is best), fill the pot with water till it covers all the ingredients.  Simmer in the crock pot or pan for 8 hours.  serve with or after a simple garden salad.

    For dessert; peel, core and cut in small chunks a whole bag of green apples, sprinkle fairly thickly with cinnamon after spreading on the bottom of a 9x11 pan, sprinkle water with your hand over the apple/cinn. mix- about 2-3 tablespoons. For the crumbles to put on top- mix a stick of butter (pref.) or margarine with 1/2 cup of brown sugar and 1/2 cup of white sugar. Add 1 cup of plain instant oatmeal and mix together with fork and knife until crumbly. Sprinkle mixture over top of apples. Bake at 375F until top is crusty.. about 1/2 hour to 45 mins.  Top with Ice cream while hot. (You can re-heat in microwave if you make it ahead of time).

    You should get a good crock-pot cookbook. Better Homes and Gardens has a good cookbook, also Betty Crocker, Racheal Ray has some quick and delicious dinners, Don't be afraid to modify or invent your own recipes.

  6. What are some of the recipes you want to learn?  You should make a list of foods that you both like and then go from there.  A great online source is allrecipes.com
