try and look on ebay and look for css for dummies and xhtml for dummies... or you can look on amazon..

I don't know about any books, but www.w3schools.com is where I learnt CSS, it's an awesome website with tutorials for just about anything to do with web design

Any from the O'Reilly range.

Forget x*x for Dummies and all the doorstop-sized ones by other publishers.

Hi same boat, but i have just bought a book

html for thw world wide web with xhtml and css

its by elizabeth castro i have received it this morning and i have just looked in the index it teaches everything building web pages the basic structure of html (x) formatting, using images, links to another page,creating styles, fromatting with the styles, multimeda, testing and de-bugging web pages, then finally publishing your pages onto the web, and getting people to visit your site. To me this is everything your going to need but the extra bits you learn on the way.

oh i also have HTML for dummies which is so c**p compared to this book
