I have 2 computers and an X box 360 connected on my home network. One of the people in my home is a bandwidth hog, and talking to them about this has done no good. They constantly are downloading and we are unable to load pages quickly, download for ourselves, or play on X box live without lagging. When they are asleep or gone we simply unplug them from the router, but it's a hassle. Anyone know how I can set a limit to the bandwidth they can use up? I have upgraded my internet to the highest speed available.

  1. Buy a cheap router with QOS and Vlans, create a vlan using the port they are plugged into then use qos to throttle that vlan. Otherwise you have to build a proxy server.

Billion make cheap ADSL routers that do it...
