I need to lose weight!!?

i weigh 240. i am 5'7" tall. my BMI is like 38. What can i do? i have hypothyroidism and it makes it extremely difficult to lose weight. honestly, i was never like this until i had three kids, two of them a year apart. my body has gone down hill since then, and i am SICK TO DEATH of it. it is so so very hard to stay committed to a diet and it SUCKS to exercises, cause i get so out of breath i feel like i am going to die. please help me!! really, up to now i haven't done anything because i feel defeated already because of my thyroid thing. i need motivation and a plan! HELP!!

  2. Loosing weight fast is always an unhealthy thing.

    There are many diets who tell you that you can loose a lot of weight in no time. And it is working, but you are doing no good to your body. And there's also the Jojo-effect.

    The best thing to loose and hold a healthy weight is healthy food, less sugar, lots of drinking water, and sports.

    Diet has to begin in your head. And you already started to think about your nutrition. That's an important step. It is too easy just to make a magazine-diet for 2-3 weeks and loose some weight. But it will come back soon again. If you are over-thinking your nutrition and activity, you will have a constantly good result. Isn't that much better and healthier than a crash-diet ?

  4. If you legitimately have a hypoactive thyroid, you should be on medicine for that. The medicine will help you shed weight. Why did your doctor diagnose your condition and not give you medicine for it?

  5. Try doing cardio everyday for at least 30 - 60 minutes.

    Walk,

    Run

    Jog

    or Sprint.

    It will help you a lot. Just stay committed to it.

    And eat healthy: fruits and veggies, exclude all foods that are high in fat and exclude all junk food.

    Bring a healthy lunch with you to work instead of eating unhealthy and / or eating out.

    If you stay committed to this, you will loose weight, if you blow it, you wont (like you eat good all week and on the weekend you stuff your self with fat and junk.)
