I need to make a boat that floats but it can only being 12 inches what should i make it out of?

Amilk carton--the paper kind, not the plastic kind

Get a picture of what you want the finished boat to look like. Go to a hobby store and buy some balsa wood planks and some water proof glue. Build it. Easy project.

It should look something like this..  http://www.addisonart.com/artwork/cohen_... which would be a rowboat from that era. See if there is such a boat you could buy at a hobby store, or a model of such a boat, that could float..
