I need to make a lamp shade..?

for a regular lamp, what kind of material (plastic) is used on the inside to make a shade cover?

Also, how do you make a paper lamp shade?

Do not use plastic, it's not safe and it's not pretty. Go to a craft store to get ideas, but first go to a lamp store, see what you like and then purchase what you need and try to copy what you liked at the store.

You might try asking this in the arts and craft section.  How you end up making it will depend largely on the type of frame the shade has.
