I found a pair of matching Utah speakers in the garbage, and one has a bad electrolytic in the adjustable crossover. I tried to match one up at Radio Shack, but i dont know how. I did not wanna ask the sales associate because the last time i asked them about something technical they did not know anything. The capacitor i need is a 8MFD/50V. Do i just go to Radio Shack, and buy a 8MF/50V electrolytic?

  1. 8uf capacitor is a non-polarized capacitor,

these value could be connected to the mid-range speaker

( too high value for a tweeter )

if you need a more clearer mid audio , you can use up to 47 uf

but these depends on the capacity of your mid-range speaker

a 4.7uf is good for tweeter , but 2.2uf is fine

Voltage rating could be higher , if you wish the circuit to be durable

    and lasting
