I need to move a TV to another room, how do I transfer the satellite cord to the new room?

My living room does not have a satellite cord, I'm needing to move a t.v from another room to the living room? Is there an adapter I can use so the satellite works in the new room or do I have to run the wire from before?

You don't mention what satellite receiver you will be using.

One will be required somewhere in the system to tune in channels ,or you can split off a single receiver and view the same channel in 2 rooms.

You will either need to run a coax cable to the living room and put your receiver there, or use some type of wireless transmitter system from an existing receiver.

Remember that you may wish to change channels, so remote extenders (and spare remotes) are something to consider also.
