Well, downloading a video is the same as downloading any other file.  Just save it to your disk somewhere.

You can burn the video files on a data disc, but they will not play in a standalone DVD player.  

If you want your files to play in a standalone DVD player, you will need to convert them to MPEG2 so that you can use a video DVD burning software to write them to disc.  If you do not care about professional features, menus, or custom chapters, and you just want to be able to get the job done as quickly as possible, I recommend DVDFlick (http://www.dvdflick.net/).  It is freeware, and has a simple drag and drop interface.  It will convert most video formats for you automatically, without the need for any technical knowledge. You can either create AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS folders to burn, or you can save an .ISO image.
