I don't want to order them too early and have them be cold, or too late and end up being late to the reunion.

  1. Call in the day before. Most bigger chains have an option on the ordering menu that will allow for a pre specified time of delivery or pick up. At Papa Johns it was very common for teams to call up at 5 and order a bunch of pizzas and ask for 7 delivery. They wouldn't show up on the screnn until about 6-6:30.

  2. You could probably get away with calling that morning, but you might call the day before. You can always call the next day to confirm, but at least they will be prepared for your order.

  3. Order them the morning of the event.  Tell them specifically that you want them HOT when they arrive and they can not be past a certain time.

I used to be a manager and delivery driver for a long time through college.  If you are specific they will bend to you.  Tell them you will be sure to include a big tip if all specifications are meet.

There is nothing that makes a delivery driver work better than a huge tip.  I guarantee you if someone who ordered 10 pizzas called in and said something alone those lines we would be fighting for who would take it, and the person who won would make the pizzas and supervise them until they ended up at your door.

The power of a tip is amazing.  Make sure you give them at least 2 hours though.

  4. Half hour before you want them?

Any pizza chain that can't do 10 pizzas isn't worth calling.

  5. i would call the morning or night before the reunion

  6. the day before

  7. I've ordered similar amounts of pizzas for faculty lunches.  I usually call Pizza Hut as soon as they open and specify what time I want it ready, and also mention any coupons that I may have for discounts.

  8. Call the day before.  Confirm your order.  Ask for a party discount.  Give them the time, and ask them how much notice they need.  Then call on the day and confirm.

  9. call the day before and tell them your situation, they'll be able to tell you much better than anyone on here... unless of course someone works at the pizza place you're ordering from.  there's a lot that would go into that, like how busy they are, what kind of pizzas it is, how many people are working.  i think just call the day before and ask, cuz they'll be able to tell you specifically to their pizza place.  we can all just guess.

  10. Do we look like Papa John to you? Call the pizzeria. (lol)

  11. 16 hours so they can plan in advance
